Youth Cultural Fire Workshop: Microcasting & Fire Behavior

Join us Sunday, November 2nd from 11 AM to 3 PM at 543 Rockerfeller Rd, Berry Creek, CA for a hands-on cultural fire workshop focused on microcasting and fire behavior.

This event is open to Native youth and families interested in learning about traditional fire practices and ecological stewardship.


Facilitators:

• He-Lo Ramirez – Chico State Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve

• Tyme Maidu of Berry Creek Rancheria


Food and water will be provided for youth (RSVP appreciated).

Photos will be taken for grant reporting purposes.


This workshop is part of the Momi Nak Sa Outdoor Program, funded by the Outdoor Equity Grants Program through AB 209 and administered by the California State Parks Office of Grants and Local Services.
